Video about Mai’s Lake

For the course Emerging topics in Conservation we had a group assignment of making a Video about a local conservation topic. Coincidentally my sister was telling me about how the council ruined the lake near where she lives. I had walked around the lake last year and in was full of life and I serendipitously took photos and video I could use for a video. No one else in my group had an idea for the video so we disided to make a video about the mismanagement of the lake and the subsequent loss of habitat, algal bloom and fish kills.

I wrote and produced the soundtrack to the video as well:

In other news I’ve been writing about endangered flying-foxes for the course, a large piece about the spectacled flying-fox is due at the end. I have been looking into doing an honours year next year with Professor Catherine Pickering. Lastly I’m getting a new  much-more fuel efficient car.
